Description |
In order to address the need to serve an
increasing student population, Stratford University constructed a four-story
facility, fully adapted to meet the academic needs of the adult student. The campus was
designed using green technology throughout and has culinary arts, health science, nursing, and computer
laboratories. The project
included the design and construction of a Storm-Tech underground vault as
well as soil improvement in the parking areas. |

Project Highlights |
GC&T provided a full array of
services for the project including: (i)
Geotechnical Engineering Services
during the design stage that resulted in the preparation of a geotechnical
engineering report approved by Prince William County. (ii) Construction Materials Testing and
Inspection services that included field and laboratory soils and concrete
testing and structural and reinforcement steel inspection that included
inspection of the sufficient number of bolted connections, visual inspection
of field-applied welds and field erection of steel frame for plumbness and
level. |
