|
|
Description |
This project included all necessary engineering studies to evaluate the causes of subgrade failures on Ridgefield Road, between Delaney Road and Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge, Virginia.
GC&T provided subsurface exploration and geotechnical engineering providing recommendations for all required subgrade improvements, including the use of micropiles.
As requested, GC&T worked with Prince William County and VDOT to develop and prepare construction drawings and specifications for bidding and construction of the work. All bidders received their document from GC&T who provided the County with the cost estimate.
The completed roadway met all requirements for final acceptance into VDOT’s state secondary roadway system. GC&T performed all of the testing and inspection services on this project per Prince William County and VDOT requirements and project specifications.
