part of our vision of service, GC&T provides detailed
inspection
services, which aim to comprise the entirety of the project site
development.
During the construction of roadways,
GC&T:

Observes stripping
of topsoil and the removal of any soft material observed during
proofrolling of the roadway subgrade

Tests the compaction of structural
fill material within the limits of right-way
established in the field |

Tests the compaction of base stone,
curb/gutter base stone and asphalt according to VDOT C.Q.C
criteria |

Tests and samples concrete for
curb/gutter |

During the construction of Building
Pads (only applicable to fill Pads), GC&T:

Observe stripping
of topsoil, removal of any deleterious materials, and undercut of any
unsuitable (plastic and organic) soils

Observe
the proof rolling of the sub-grade with a loaded dump truck to
determine the suitability of in-place soils to accept
controlled
fill

Identify unstable areas prior to the
placement of fill |
| • |
Test the compaction of structural
fill material placed within offset limits of the building pads |

During the excavation of Retaining Walls:

Observe the stripping of topsoil and the removal
of any soft material
• Test
the footing bearing capacity
•
Observe the construction of all site retaining walls |
