Description |
In order to address the need to serve an increasing
student population, Highland School constructed the following: (i) a Lower School building; (ii) five additions to the
existing Upper School building; (iii) a Maintenance building; (iv) soccer
fields, a softball field, and one 6-lane track; (v) four parking areas with a
total of 432 new parking spaces; and (vi) frontage improvements along
Broadview Avenue that included turn lanes and median crossovers. |

Project Highlights |
GC&T provided a full array of
services for the project including: (i) Engineering
services during the design stage that included the preparation of a
Geotechnical Engineering report; (ii) Subsurface
investigation and laboratory testing to determine existing site conditions; (iii) Construction Materials Testing and
Inspection services that included field and laboratory soils and concrete
testing during construction; (iv) Structural
Steel inspection that included inspection of the sufficient number of bolted
connections, visual inspection of field welds and field erection of steel
frames for plumbness and level. |
